When Samui set up wireless networking, he was able to keep his server online at all times. He grew tired of the Sigma name, and wanted something fresher. He changed the name of the site to "Digital Gate", and his identity to DigiAgent02. The community was still dedicated to gaming and anime. An attempt was made at creating a Digimon RP board, but it was never finished. However, there were many RP sessions taking place on the IRC network that eventually went deeper. Around May 2004, Samui added a forum named "Kitsune Discussion" and a Kitsune themed skin which featured Vulpix and Ninetales. Soon afterwards, he created a Riven themed skin along with forums dedicated to Myst. Those have not seen much use, but the Kitsune forum has.

Digital Gate became slightly more dedicated to roleplaying. Around the summertime, plans were made for a RPG system named kRPG, which saw the light in October.

In late August, Samui started work on a new site which would be hosted on an actual TLD. Originally, this was going to be called "Digital Gate 4", with the domain digitalgate.org. Finding that the name was taken, Samui had to choose something else. He also decided to make the site maintain its kitsune theme. So, he chose the name "Kitsune Paradise".

On September 18, 2004 at 8am, Samui officially opened Kitsune Paradise.
